A BIT ABOUT RIVER OF FUNDAMENT

This is a project that I have been working on for six years, shot in three locations for the most part. It is basically an American opera that is epic in proportion. It is a kind of hybrid between documentary live performance and studio narrative film making. We started production in a closed down RV dealership in Los Angeles that was reinvented to facilitate the performance and filming. Next we went to Detroit and shot in a cathedral, a converted old glue factory, a barge on the River Rouge, and a defunct steel mill on the Detroit River that was brought back to life. The final stages of the film are being shot in New York where we started production last year in Barney's studio and on a barge on the east river. We will have it in the can by the end of summer 2013,  the premier will be February 2014 in Munich.
